About

Alba Nuova literally means: a new dawn

We have over 25 years of experience in finance, audit, consulting, sports and entertainment, of which the last 15 years in executive and supervisory roles. In the summer of 2024 Ron transferred his job as CFO at the Royal Netherlands Football Association (KNVB) and founded Alba Nuova.

A new dawn also means shedding new light on issues, new insights,
a fresh look and an incentive for development and new opportunities. That is what Alba Nuova offers students, professionals and other clients. Based on thorough analysis, and up-to-date professional knowledge, but above all, with an eye for people.

Alba Nuova was founded by Ron Francis. Wheneven usefull, other experts from his broad network will be deployed in consultation with you as the client.

After a bachelor’s and doctoral degree in Accountancy, majoring in accountancy & controlling, and a post-doctoral degree in controlling (Executive Master in Finance & Control) that was completed with honors at Nyenrode Business University, Ron has continued to develop through permanent education, focussing on professional skills, personal effectiveness, leadership, sustainability and ethics, including:

Work experience has been gained within accountancy (KPMG) and in various management, administrative and supervisory roles in sports and entertainment, including:
-CFO/ Financial director KNVB (2011-2024)
-Director and Member of the Supervisory Board at various operating companies and joint ventures within the KNVB group, including enterprises with regard to the exploitation of portrait rights, licenses, media, real estate and catering operations.
-Founder/manager KNVB Expertise, center for research, training and knowledge sharing within professional football
-Head of Delegation for various national teams and
-since 2023 responsible for Sustainability and CSRD implementation at the KNVB.

Ron is also a (guest) lecturer.

As an enterpreneurial Registered Controller with extensive experience in both an international commercial context and the specific dynamics of sports and non-profit, we are able to provide added value to a wide range of clients.
